REV. MAVIS YETSA GARDINER

Ordained Minister – Assemblies of God, Ghana

Rev. Mavis Yetsa Gardiner is currently the Dean of Students and a full-time Lecturer at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS) - South Campus, Kormantse, Ghana. She teaches English, Communication Skills, Spiritual Formation, Principles of Teaching, Public Speaking, Research Methods, and The Church's Educational Task. She served as an adjunct lecturer from 2015 to 2020 before her full-time appointment in January 2021.

She previously taught at the University of Ghana (2009–2020), Dominion University College (2012–2020), Ordorgonno Secondary School (2004–2012), Winneba Secondary School (1997–2004), Mfantsipim Secondary School (1995), and Twifo Oil Palm Plantation (TOPP) Basic and JSS (1992).

Rev. Gardiner attended Fijai Secondary School (1985–1991) where she obtained her GCE O and A Levels. She then proceeded to the University of Cape Coast (UCC), graduating in 1997 with a Diploma in Education and a Bachelor of Arts (BA). At the University of Ghana, she earned an MPhil in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) in 2009 and was subsequently appointed as a Lecturer at the Language Centre where she taught Academic Writing until 2020.

In ministry training, she completed the Lay-workers Course at the then Southern Ghana Bible Institute (SGBI) in 1992 and later obtained a Diploma in Theology from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (South Campus) in 2016. She is an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God, Ghana.

She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Teaching English as a Second Language at the Linguistics Department, University of Ghana.

Her passion is Missions, Evangelism and Planting of Churches.
